Pullulan is a natural, water-soluble fiber material that is produced by fermentation – in this case, from corn starch. These pullulan capsules pre-packed in bags are:

In addition to pullulan, the capsules also contain purified water, locust bean gum and xanthan gum, which are also natural, vegetarian ingredients. No toxic chemicals are involved in harvesting pullulan, and no preservatives are added during the capsules’ production.

• Easy to use – Pullulan capsules function just like any other two-piece hard capsule. They come in the most popular standard sizes: 0 and 00. They function well on filling machines, effectively mask tastes and odors, and are easy to swallow. Plus they give you full control of ingredients and dosages when you use them to create supplements and vitamins.

• Transparent and shiny – Empty pullulan capsules are not available in colors. Use these clear, shiny capsules with visually-attractive fill materials to showcase your product’s natural look.

• Appropriate for dry ingredients – Pullulan capsules provide an excellent oxygen barrier so are an ideal choice for oxygen-sensitive fill materials. They will not chemically react with your fill material. You can safely use them with most dry ingredients, including powders, granules, beads, tablets and herbs. Be aware, however, that because of its high water content, a pullulan capsule should not be used with absorbent powders or liquid ingredients.
