Pullulan is a natural, water-soluble polysaccharide fiber material that is produced by fermentation. These pullulan capsules in bulk are:

• “Clean label” friendly – If you want to reach a wider consumer base through clean labeling, or simply meet the increasing demand for vegetarian and “natural” products, pullulan capsules meet this demand. Our empty pullulan capsules are 100% plant sourced. No toxic chemicals are involved in harvesting pullulan, and no preservatives are added during the capsules’ production.

• Hemically inert – A pullulan capsule will never react to or cross-link with your fill material.

• Transparent and shiny – Empty pullulan capsules are not available in colors. Use with visually-attractive fill materials to showcase your product’s natural look.

• Used with dry ingredients – Pullulan capsules provide an excellent oxygen barrier so are a go-to vegetarian choice for oxygen-sensitive fill materials. You can safely use them with most dry ingredients, including powders, granules, beads, tablets and herbs. Be aware, however, that because of its high water content, a pullulan capsule should not be used with absorbent powders or liquid ingredients.
