How to fill empty capsules manually
Materials
- Empty capsules: Empty capsules primarily come in two main types: gelatin capsules and vegetarian capsules.
- Fill material: The ingredient(s) you intend to fill the capsules with. Some examples are green tea, beetroot, or echinacea.
- Mortar and pestle: If your ingredients are not in powder form, using a mortar and pestle can assist in achieving a fine and uniform texture.
- Storage container: Use a dark glass container for storing the capsules once they are filled.
Put the ingredients thoroughly mixed and evenly distributed in a bowl.
Separate the empty capsules into their cap and body halves.
Fill the body (largest part), pushing it down into the filling material until it feels pretty solid.
Take the cap half of the capsule and place it over the filled body, snapping them together.
Place the filled capsules in a dark glass container. Store them in a cool, dry place.
